who we are

Tasty Films was established at the beginning of 2008 by producers, Marc Benardout and Julian Stone. We make entertaining and thought-provoking content. We never just talk about ideas, we make them happen. Our individual track records speak for themselves and, with over 45 years of combined experience across the globe, we truly are a very tasty option.

Marc Benardout is an award-winning Producer/Director. He directed over two hundred television commercials and produced as many, before diversifying into television and film. Most recently, Marc directed and produced the multi award-winning independent feature film, Sinner.

Julian Stone had a successful and award-winning acting career on the stage and screen, from working with such Oscar-nominated directors as William Friedkin and Scott Hicks to being a household face in daytime soap opera, before returning to his writing roots with Buccaneer’s Cove, a recent Screenwriting finalist at the Big Bear International Film Festival and The Cat Hunt, adapted from the 1950's cult English novel, The Custard Boys.

friday
> adapted from the book “The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw, The Robin Friday Story” by Paul McGuigan & Paolo Hewitt. Co-produced in association with Ambergreen Entertainment and Paolo Hewitt. Screenplay by Irvine Welsh & Dean Cavanaugh.
Robin Friday lived a life of death and glory. After being impaled on a spike in a construction accident, he decided to be brilliant and not give a fuck. He dribbled mercurially through life - kissing policemen, shagging girls, breaking every rule he tripped over. He was a white man who married a Caribbean girl and dared anyone to so much as bat an eyelid. If football, as they say, was the working man's ballet, then Robin was Nureyev. But when one hurtled through life at that pace, something had to break... and it did. It was his heart. But, by then, he had taught the world that life is nothing if you don't live it. And so everyone wanted to be Robin Friday. But, quite frankly, no one else had the balls...
